History of  Idol

History bears  the  testimony of  the fact  that Dehra -Tijara was a well developed  region . The   discovery of   this  image  of   1008  Bhagwan  Chandraprabh   has   a  remarkable  history .  In  1956 , the excavation  work  was  taken   up for  widening  of  the  roads. A  small "Talghar"  was  found . But, there  were  no  signs  of  any  image.  Shri Jabharam and Mishrilal visited the site. They stated "jap   (recitation of mantras)  and  had  a dream. Accordingly  after  digging , three  broken   images were  found . Later on , Late  Smt. Saraswati devi  w/o  Late  Biharilal jain started fasting .And , after three days on  Shravan Shukla Navami she  had  a  dream  in  the  midnight  about  the  exact   location  of the image.She reached to the destination with  lighted "deepak"& marked  the place.When  the marked  spot  was dug, the idol was discovered on Shravan Shukla Dashmi (16:08:1956) at 11:50am.at noon.When people got the glimpse of grand  idol  of 1008  chandraprabh, their  happiness knew no bounds.The hearts of the masses filled with joy & satisfaction. There  was  an  atmosphere  of  gay  &  gaiety  everywhere. The whole environment was  electrified with  religious  sentiments  with   shouting slogans : Bhagwan chandraprabhu ki jai, Dhera wale baba ki jai. This image bears  the  date "vaishakh  shukla  3,1554 vikram samvat". Later  on with the grace of Acharya  Shri  Vimalsagarji  maharaj,  one black idol of Bhagwan chandraprabh was discoverd on 29:3:1972.
